MicroProse B-17G for MSFS2024 – Early Access Update 2: Long Beach is out
Nov 06, 2025The second update for the B-17G for Microsoft Flight Simulator is out with quite a few improvements.
The team continues to work on the model, improving the B-17 as we keep on gathering feedback from the community. Long Beach is the second of three pre-1.0 updates for this model. But we might have to change those plans.

Our lead developer, Sebastian, got through some nasty health issues and had to be rushed to the hospital. This obviously took a toll on development, and this update isn’t as big as it should be. Still, this is quite a big update, considering he went out of commission for about a week. The rest of the (small) team managed to push through, and even Sebastian was able to throw in some of his work as he recovers, which is… Amazing, really, considering how serious his condition was.
Fortunately, he is getting back on his feet, and we will be doing our best to recover from this hiccup.
So, what’s the plan? Will the roadmap change?

It’s likely, but we are not 100% sure right now. Given the impact this update had on our planned features and Sebastian's ongoing recovery, it is likely that we may need to include a fourth update before the release of version 1.0. This scenario is something we’d like to avoid, if possible, but we are not going to shy away from making that decision if we need to.
We will keep everyone updated as we go.
What about the MS marketplace?
Well, we are still waiting for that process to move forward. The path to the marketplace has many steps, and we managed to get through the first couple of them. We are still waiting to be onboarded.
Once that happens, we will start the process of getting the B-17 in the marketplace as well, as soon as we possibly can.
